EPUB vs PDF vs MOBI

For online stories and web fiction, EPUB is usually the right download format. It keeps chapters structured and lets the text adapt to your screen.

• EPUB: Best for Kindle transfer, Kobo, Apple Books, and most reading apps. Text reflows, fonts resize cleanly, and long stories stay navigable.
• PDF: Best when the page layout must stay fixed. It is less comfortable for long fiction because zooming and line wrapping are limited.
• MOBI: An older Kindle-era format. Prefer EPUB for new personal documents unless a specific old device or workflow requires MOBI.

Use EPUB when converting public stories for offline reading. Use PDF for forms, scans, or layout-heavy documents. Avoid stripping DRM or converting files you do not have the right to copy.
